Newsquest Digital Launches Real Time Bidding For Online Ads
28 June 2011
Newsquest Media Group has switched to an auction-style exchange system for sales of digital advertising across its portfolio of more than 200 regional news media, classified and magazine websites.
The Newsquest Exchange gives internet advertisers access to a trading platform from where they can bid in real-time for inventory on one of the largest newspaper website networks in the UK.
The new technology replaces the third party ad networks which previously had been used by Newsquest for selling unsold inventory.
Simon Sarahs, Head of Commercial Development for Newsquest Digital Media said that the Exchange launch this month marked a new era for advertisers:
"We are constantly listening to feedback from our advertisers and believe that this move will significantly help in delivering targeted response in real-time for them." he said.
He added: "This new approach means our 10 million plus monthly unique users are served the highest quality relevant advertising which will in turn provide the best possible response for advertisers."
Advertisers and agencies will have access to the Newsquest Exchange through Right Media and Admeld.
Newsquest has also introduced the options of cost per click and cost per acquisition campaigns.
