Telephony & Mobile

Telephony clients

Oasis™ is Newsquest's telephone call and SMS management system. Commissioned in 2005 it manages and provides in depth reporting of telephone calls to over 120,000 telephone numbers and over 250,000 text messages every month. It is now used by a number of other companies including Two's Company (a print and online dating service), Exchange and Mart (a new and used car website), the RSPCA, Genesis Homes and Adgenda.

Fixed line services

Newsquest Digital Media can provide telephone number substitution for your business or campaign.

Oasis™ monitors the effectiveness of your telephone-based campaigns. It is connected to the National telephone network via Opal Telecom, part of Carphone Warehouse. This gives you instant access to all currently available geographic (01/02) and non geographic (08/03) telephone numbers.

Using our connection wizard you can connect, amend and suspend Freephone, Local Rate, National Rate, 01 and 02 numbers in real time.

There are no capital outlay costs for the majority of our advanced telephony features from Whisper announcements and anti-canvassing measures to Replay, a network call recording service.

Whispers, for example, a welcome message, offer excellent brand reinforcement. Different Whispers can be attached to a number based on, for instance, time of day.

Canvassers are added to a database. If a canvasser calls a number it triggers an action. It might, for example, link to an appropriate Whisper.

Replay allows you to record a call – invaluable to ensure compliance or for training.

How does it work?

From the moment you connect your first telephone number, Oasis™ starts to monitor each and every phone call including numbers that haven't received calls. This data is captured and archived for use by Oasis™ reports. Further, numbers can be organised to match your business's hierarchy so that reports can be easily imported to other applications.
